Butterfly Effect operational engine

3,144 US counties indexed. Investment + location → propagation across employment, wage, broadband, and outcome data.

Inputs available per county (sample)

Example county 01001 (Autauga County): broadband_pct 89.1%, computer_pct 94.8%, digital_divide_index 0.08.

Composing the butterfly

Every county row joins to: BLS OEWS (occupation × industry employment + wage), atlas_zillow_housing (housing market), atlas_capital_flow_projections (Monte Carlo bands), atlas_scorecard_earnings (education-program outcomes). The "butterfly" name comes from compounding the small-scale county-level intervention through joined datasets to project 5–10 year economic outcomes.

Programmatic access

POST /api/v4/execute (planned)
{ "tool_id": "daedarch.atlas.butterfly_v1",  // tool registration pending
  "inputs": { "fips_code": "<5-digit>", "intervention": { ... }, "horizon_years": 10 } }

Until the butterfly_v1 tool is registered, query the underlying collections directly: atlas_broadband_access, atlas_oews, atlas_capital_flow_projections, atlas_scorecard_earnings.
